RESOURCES for COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Community development is an area where, if it involves buildings, then Planning, Architecture and the Ethics of Enabling meet - not just for Third World development but for inner city, and outer estate and rural, regeneration in the UK. It is also an area where you may be involved as a church member, elder, or on a PCC. And with both government and opposition, backed by the Faithworks Campaign, wanting to involve charities, including churches and other religious organisations in the delivery of welfare programmes, this topic will become increasingly important. The resource listed here, and available on line, looks at the biblical basis for community development, and includes bibliographies.
